Do it in stages, take your time and stop frequently to check your position and do the observation
Tight corners - use the back of the car at the end of the wall as the turn point, Important - Look all around before you turn. Look in the top-left-hand mirror (an additional mirror in our cars) as you go around the corner, then to straighten use the centre point of the rear screen (green triangle) centered on the parked car behind.
Large corners - use left-hand door mirror for the turn and then the green triangle when straightening.
Remember you can shunt forwards at least twice to correct or re-align if you are unsure. If you do it in stages you can always go back to the point where it was last correct. You should be looking over your shoulder – out of the rear window at least half of the time when reversing
On the Test
Ensure that you do not go over the centre line of the side road. You should also finish within about 30cm from the kerb. If it goes wrong shunt it forwards to correct it - do not leave it in an untidy position. As always all-round observation is of utmost importance, especially behind.
